Remote working is engaging study finds – Work Retreat Skip to main content

🆕 Time for the science break. A recent study done on more than 48 million meetings from 10 large global organisations, published in Harvard Business Review, proves remote workers’ disengagement is not actually true.

Some of the key findings below:

✅ Remote meetings appear to be becoming a lot more natural and effective. Over the last three years meetings have shrunk in length by 25%;

✅ Remote meetings have become more like one-on-one rather than group;

✅ Remote meetings are now spontaneous rather than scheduled, with the percent of spontaneous one-on-one meetings increasing from 17% to 66%;

✅ Remote meetings seem to be mirroring in-person interactions now a whole lot more due to their spontaneity/size;

✅ Remote workers appear to become more engaged with respect to meetings with their colleagues.
